Dr Liang Gao is Professor of the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering (IMSE), Director of National Center of Technology Innovation for Intelligent Design and Numerical Control, Deputy Director of State Key Laboratory of Digital Manufacturing Equipment and Technology, and Chairman of School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in mechatronic engineering from Xidian University, Xi’ an, China, in 1996, and his Ph.D. degree in mechatronic engineering from HUST, Wuhan, China, in 2002. He published more than 500 papers indexed by SCIE, authored 14 monographs. His citation is 14000 times and H is 59 according to Web of Science. He is recognized as a Highly Cited Researcher by Clarivate Web of Science and a Highly Cited Chinese Researcher by Elsevier in 2020 and 2021.

高亮，华中科技大学机械科学与工程学院教授、博士生导师、党委书记，2018年获得国家杰出青年基金资助，首届“科学探索奖”获得者，IET Fellow，国家智能设计与数控技术中心主任，数字制造装备与技术国家重点实验室副主任，中国机械工程学会工业大数据与智能系统分会主任委员。长期致力于智能优化与机器学习方法在设计制造中的应用等研究。出版专著14部（其中英文专著5部），发表SCI论文510余篇，Web of Science被引1.4万次，H-index 60，（Google被引2万次，H-index 71）。2020年和2021年入选科睿唯安“全球高被引科学家”、爱思唯尔“中国高被引学者”。授权发明专利50项，登记软件著作权28项。获国家奖1项（2015年度国家科技进步二等奖，排名第2）、省部级奖励5项（其中一等奖3项；2013年度教育部自然科学一等奖，排名第1）。担任IET Collaborative Intelligent Manufacturing期刊共同主编等。
