EUR ING. Ir. Ts. Dr. Wei Hong Lim is currently an Associate Professor and a researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Built Environment in UCSI University. He obtained his BEng (Hons) Mechatronic Engineering and Ph.D. in Computational Intelligence from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia in the year 2011 and 2014, respectively. Dr. Lim was attached to the Intelligent Control Laboratory in National Taipei University of Technology as the Postdoctoral Researcher from 2015 to 2017 and as the Visiting Researcher in 2019. He has published more than 80 research articles in research areas related to computational intelligence, optimization algorithms, energy management, digital image processing etc. Dr. Lim is now working with three national research grants awarded by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia, and six internal grant projects supported by UCSI University. Apart from serving as an Academic Editor for PLOS ONE journal, Dr Lim is also an active reviewer for various reputable journals such as IEEE Access, Complexity, Mathematical Problem in Engineering, Computational Intelligence and Neuroscience and etc. Dr. Lim has actively involved in various professional bodies. To date, he has been awarded with the qualifications of Chartered Engineer (CEng) and International Professional Engineer in UK Section (IntPE(UK)) from UK Engineering Council, Professional Engineer (PEng) from Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM), Professional Technologist (PTech) qualification from Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT) and Senior Membership (SMIEEE) from IEEE.
