His research interests are advanced manufacture, non-traditional machining, additive manufacture, etc. He has published more than 44 refereed journal papers as the first author or the corresponding author, in which 12 papers are JCR Q1, and 17 papers are JCR Q2. His awards are Hong Kong Scholar Awards from China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and Hong Kong association of scholars, the National Outstanding Doctorate Dissertation Nomination Award from the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Teaching Achievement Prize (Second Class) from Shandong Province, Technological Invention Award (Second Class) from the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, Excellent Paper Award from Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Bronze Award (Prize RMB 200,000) from the 2nd HIWIN Doctoral Dissertation Award, etc. Now he is the Committee Member of Chinese Non-Traditional Machining Society, Member of Special Machining Branch of China Mechanical Engineering Society, Vice Director of Youth Committee of Chinese Non-Traditional Machining Society, Committee Member of National Technical Committees 161 on Non-traditional Machine Tools of Standardization Administration of China, Senior Member of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, Member of Hong Kong association of scholars, etc.

在国内外知名期刊以第一/通讯作者发表学术论文44篇，其中JCR Q1论文12篇，Q2论文17篇，1篇论文获中国机械工程学会优秀论文奖，3篇论文被评为中国特种加工学术会议优秀论文，出版英文专著4部。研究成果获山东省科技进步一等奖、中国石油和化学工业联合会技术发明一等奖、海洋工程科学技术一等奖、教育部技术发明二等奖、教育部科技进步二等奖（2项）、中国机械工业科学技术发明二等奖、青岛市自然科学二等奖等。个人获香江学者奖、全国优秀博士学位论文提名奖、机械工程学会上银优秀机械博士论文铜奖、第十届青岛市青年科技奖、山东省优秀博士后和青岛市西海岸新区首批优秀青年人才，入选2014年度香江学者计划。作为负责人的高端装备制造技术创新团队获批山东省高等学校优秀青年创新团队。目前担任中国机械工程学会特种加工分会委员、中国机械工程学会机械工业自动化分会委员、全国特种加工机床标准化技术委员会委员、中国机械工程学会特种加工分会青年工作委员会副主任、中国机械工程学会特种加工分会教育培训与科普工作委员会委员、《中国石油大学学报（自然科学版）》青年编委会副主任、《制造业自动化》青年编委会委员、《International Journal of Hydromechatronics》青年编委会委员、山东省特种加工专业委员会委员、香港学者协会会员、中国机械工程学会高级会员等。
