Dr. Xiaodong WANG is professor and doctoral supervisor at School of Mechanical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology, China. At present, he is the deputy director of the Key Laboratory for Precision & Non-traditional Machining and Microfabrication Technology (B), Ministry of Education, Member of academic committee of the Key laboratory for Micro Nano Technology and System of Liaoning Province. Prof. WANG is currently committee member of Production Engineering Institution, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES), and committee member of Chinese Society for Measurement (CSM). His research work includes precision assembly and automation for miniature devices, the machining and measurement for precision reference level master gear, the tooth profile optimization, machining and transmission error measurement for the harmonic gear tooth profile. In recent years, he has won China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award (2 First Prize, 2 Second Prize), the Technology Progress Award of Chinese Society for Measurement (1 First Prize) and the Technology Progress Award of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize).
