Prof. Zhongbin Xu, Zhejiang University, China

许忠斌 教授，浙江大学

Zhongbin Xu received his bachelor's degree and master's degree from Zhejiang University in 1990 and 1993, respectively. He received his Ph.D. from the South China University of Technology in 2001. He was a visiting scholar at the University of Cambridge (2008-2009) and Harvard University (2014-2015). His current research interests include polymer processing engineering, intelligent microstructure manufacturing, and microfluidics. His group has done lots of fundamental study of MCF and its applications. He was awarded numerous honors in recent years for his excellent academic level and industrialization achievement, including the first prize of Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress Award in 2019, China Industry-University-Research Cooperative Innovation Award in 2020. He has served as professor and doctoral supervisor (2008 to date), as well as director of research office, and deputy director of the professional academic Committee at Zhejiang University.

许忠斌博士，1990年毕业于浙江大学化工系，同年免试直读浙江大学流体工程研究所研究生，1993年硕士毕业后到华南理工大学任教。1998年考取华南理工大学与北京航空材料研究院联合培养博士生，2001年塑料机械博士毕业。2003年9月作为引进人才回到浙江大学工作。其中，2001年9月至2003年8月在华南理工大学从事材料加工工程博士后研究工作；2008年6月至2009年9月英国剑桥大学（University of Cambridge）访问学者。2014年7月至2015年10月美国哈佛大学（Harvard University）进修访学，开展新型微流体装置和新材料加工技术的合作研究。2019年获得浙江省科技进步奖一等奖，2020年获得中国产学研合作创新奖。2008年至今在浙江大学担任教授、博导、研究室主任、专业学术委员会副主任、浙大宁波能源分院副院长等职务。
